You have to ask why SAF didnt play his best players against Coventry, the answer is very simple.
He is not interested in this cup and putting all his efforts into the premiership, the champions league and possibly the FA Cup.
No disrespect to Coventry they played well but then again they didnt play the real Manchester United, with the side that played on sunday, they wouldnt have had it so easy.
Having said all this, the youngsters do need games and I guess this is one way of them learning to operate as a unit and experiencing the ups and downs of competitive football, albeit the Carling Cup.
Still on a brighter note, for those fans in the automatic ticket scheme (myself included), will save some money.
Hi RAR
yep a loss but let’s move on eh. i’m always concerned when SAF puts the kids out – it worked against Posh in pre-season but Cov are a v.decent side. but losing badly in front of 76000 fans will be an experience they can learn from i hope.
one thing that did get in my throat was John Gaunt’s crowing on Talksport for the next two days. he really does get on t*ts – check out my rant about him on yesterday’s show ‘oh yeh Gaunty’ back on my blog.
