Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez has revealed that he’s enjoying life at the club and is looking forward to getting more games under his belt.
The Argentina international made a surprise debut for United at Portsmouth on Wednesday night, following the injury of Wayne Rooney at the weekend.
Having made his first start for the club, the former West Ham star is looking to recreate the form that helped the Hammers avoid relegation last term.
“First and foremost I want to get games under my belt so I’m physically strong,” he told MUTV. “From then on I want to be part of this great team and hopefully begin to produce the kind of football I played last season to help the team be successful.”
The 23-year-old also reiterated that he does not regret his decision to join Manchester United and thinks that all the controversy surrounding the transfer this summer was worth it
“I feel very happy – I’ve joined the best club in the world with the best players in the world. It’s not difficult to see the qualities every one of them has,” he said.
